why do farmers commit suicide?

why does this happen?

or
this?

why must Gitmo and Abu Ghraib exist?

why are mass murderers like Narendra Modi not held accountable?

Change will come. It could be bloody, or it could be beautiful. It depends on us.

true enough, but i very much doubt if a job in advertising would entail a discussion on State character. i accept your point though. thanks. =)

why can't the corporates come and work for some societal ad and pr campaigns..it would help them add believability to their brands and from their consumers as well as they can actually serve for the nation....a self actualisation in necessary among the corporates..given the fact that our nation fortunately or unfortunately is ruled by them...that's one way to prevent socialism in marxian model,i mean not to increase the explotation beyond the critical level so as to collapse capitalism

the primary motivation for any capitalist enterprise remains profit.
corporations like tata tea and lever reap huge profits from assam every year, giving back little or nothing to the state. little surprise that the ULFA justifies its demands for money for the corporations by branding them as Neo Colonial, which in a sense they are.
of late, we have been seeing some initiatives like you have suggested in parts of Upper Assam, like the tata tea to keep aside some of their tea-estate land for cultivation of local medicinal plants and other horticultural initiatives, which is supposed to help in local development.. but on the whole i still remain pessimistic about how proactive these efforts will be, keeping in mind the omnipresent mantra of maximising profit.
